So...slow...
I'm trying to do something about some of the enormous backlog of DOOM, but I'm not getting very far because it is so slow. Slow, slow, slow. Type three words, wait ten minutes for the next page to load.
South Dakota is cold, and there is snow. I was very pleased when it snowed last week because when I got here a week ago there was no snow on the ground at all. It was sad. It's much prettier here with snow. (It's much prettier anywhere with snow, if you ask me.) People keep using words like "desolate", but I think it's quite lovely, really.
I should supposedly have been going to one of the schools to help kids with homework every afternoon, but it hasn't happened yet. We didn't get that organized until Thursday, and I was sick Thursday. Very sick. It was not fun.
These reports of mine are getting less and less coherent, aren't they? I started my own red socks last week. I've gotten to the heel of the first one, which is pretty good progress in a week. (It's a fairly fine yarn, on size four needles.)
