I have two more channels.
TV channels, that is. Well, sort of. More like one and a third, I figure. Channel 12 (which I think is maybe CBS) is fuzzy but there's color and the sound is good and channel 6 is really fuzzy and no color gets through. However, that is an improvement over just channel 10. (Which is NBC, which is all I really need, anyway. West Wing, you know.)

I'm in my new room. I need to "move in". Bah! I do have all of my stuff transferred, though. (The worst part was moving over the fridge, since it's full and therefore not easily carried. I pushed it across the floor.)

I have three chairs. One is a very nice recliner and one is my desk chair, which I think came from a chapel somewhere because it's got a little pad to kneel on the back of it. The desk is really just a table, but it works. I have two rooms. It's like an apartment. I think I could even have a phone in both rooms if I wanted to.

Today was errands and moving day. I went to the grocery store and stopped by an ATM and picked up a little trash can to put in my bedroom (I have a bedroom!). And there go those sirens again - we're a couple of blocks from a major fire station, so they pass us whenever they go north and I suspect we hear them when they go south, too.

Greek is not as hard as it's supposed to be. I suspect that's because a) I have a very analytical sort of a mind (all that intro physics training), b) I actually like languages and study them for fun, and c) there are some marked similarities in grammar and such between Greek and Quenya. ;) (Ha! It does, too, come in very handy in "real life". ;) I've even translated two Bible verses, although one of them was "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God..." and that was pretty easy.

All of this means that I have time to weave, which is good. I need to snap some pictures of the work-in-progress - the colors are really coming together nicely, although it takes a little getting used to. I put on the entire warp last weekend, not having anything else to do.

It's freezing in here. Much more so than the other room. I covered up one of the vents and I'll see if that helps.
