I got a digital camera!
And I need to finish my laundry, take a shower, re-pack, clean my room, and eat dinner, all in the next four hours. So I don't know that I will actually get so far as actually taking some pictures, getting them on the computer, and preparing them to share...but it's a nice thought. Expect lots of photos in a few weeks!

I got some awards.![]()
Yeah! My first awards! (Well, okay, my second...I'll post the other one later when there are less images on the page because it's really big.) Yay!
I thought that Cambridge was an enormous camp with approximately 62 campers a day (80 total registrations). Ha! That was funny, thinking that was big....in Zanesville we had precisely 100 on the first day! With five staff. The facility was fabulous...for the expected sixty campers. With a hundred kids it took some well-organized management. We sort of made it up as we went along...we had to learn as we went!
It was a huge success, though! (Not my work, of course...God's!) Family Night was marvelous and the kids had a great time! The church there is so involved in their day camp that it is really their camp, which is the way it's supposed to be, after all...and of course that's why they got so many kids!
Next week: Martins Ferry. They expect 70 campers (six staff). I bet they think that's really big, too...
I have been promised Springfield for week nine. We shall see...I won't really believe it until it happens!

A quick update from Cambridge...
...there are photos on their web site! (Check under news...) Those are "my" girls singing and there's a great one in the bottom left of the collage of me (quite clearly) counting my campers. Hehe...
Comment on that last one already! I worked really hard on those! :P

Here's that base I promised.
I'm actually quite pleased with this one. :)
Pleasant City was awesome! The kids were absolutely fabulous and my staff was great! Next week: Cambridge! (Pray for us...I know it'll be a great week but it's also going to be very challenging! Two of my staff are also coming in from Camp Frederick, so I won't even get to talk to them until after we canvass...) The week after that will be Zanesville.
Salli got Macksburg. MWAHAHAHA!
Edit: Here's another one. The shading's not as good but it's a more difficult (and also more interesting) pose.

I can't upload any files.
Which is really too bad, because I've got an award to show off (okay, okay, there were only four entries, but...) and a new base that I made this afternoon. :P
One of the contests I entered is now voting. Please go check out the entries and vote for mine if you think it is the best. :) I also had my first non-Forest member adoption a week or so ago.
Since I don't have anything new to show you, here is something I did quite a while back:
She was for a contest and did not place at all. :P I still maintain that she was one of the better entries...the thing is that I just couldn't make it all syruppy sweet like the picture I was supposed to be basing it off of so people probably took the instructions more literally than I did...but it was just too good to be true. Heh heh heh. I had a lot of fun doing this! I hope at least a couple of people were entertained!
I've been all over the past couple of weeks...all over southeastern Ohio, that is. (Admittedly, it's a somewhat limited region.) New Lexington (take that!), then Ironton. New Lex isn't too far away but Ironton is waaaaaaaaay down there. It was a really awesome camp, though—small, but it was a first year Amazing Grace camp and 20 campers under those circumstances is just fabulous.
I'm off to Pleasant City tomorrow morning. To be more accurate, I'm off to Grove City (7:00 a.m.) so I can pick up my team and we can leave in time (8:15 a.m.) to get to Pleasant City for church (10:30 a.m.). Thankfully, the pastor decided we didn't really need to go to the 9:00 service...
